Kevin,
I need to have some dates if you know them. I believe I have records of your great
grandfather, George A McCree, b. Jul 1862, probably in Illinois.
I believe he married Sarah T Cagle, b. 14 Sept 1865 at Larissa, Winston County, Alabama.
They obtained a license on 29 Sept 1884 in Howell County, Missouri
and were wed on 2 Oct 1884.
Your grandfather, Elza Jean McCree, born Feb 1900, St Clair, Roscoe County, Missouri does
have a twin, Elga M McCree and this is proved by census records
available at most public libraries. The following census records list these two
brothers:
1900 US Fed Census Roscoe, St Clair, MO, both are listed as 3 months old.
1910 US Fed Census Ottawa, Franklin KS, both are listed as age 10
1915 Kansas State census, both are listed as age 15
1920 Lincoln, Franklin, KS, both are listed as 19 (Note: This census was taken in Jan, so
they had not had their birthday until Feb.
1930 Ottawa, Franklin, KS, only your g-grandfather listed with his parents, age 30 (Note:
Listed as Jean E McCree.
If this is the family you are seeking information on let me know. Also, I need to know
who he married, dob and place of birth, if known. Then list
the children of this union together with their date and place of birth.
Who are your mother and father and their dates and place of birth. Also, when and where
married together with the rest of their children's names.
Thanks,
