I have no knowledge of this, nor have I found anything during my research or located
anything in John G Cagle's publications to this affect.

Is it known for sure that Karl Wilhelm Cagle and Charles Cagle were two
individuals or the same individual? If it is, which is the case? What is
the documentation?

Hi, all. I usually do not post, but saw an opportunity to jump in.
Karl Wilhelm Cagle is my ancestor, through his son John and John's
wife Lucy; then Henry (Catherine Holder), , Joseph C. (Emma Dotson),
and finally Joseph's daughter, Ida Nettie Cagle who married James
Monroe Cox. Ida Nettie Cagle Cox's son was William McKinley Cox, my
grandfather. Several ancestors lived in Jonathan Creek, Haywood,
North Carolina; I visited there about 2 years ago, didn't find any info.

Hello friends!
Forgive me for the first post, I forgot to include a subject in the
subject line before I sent it. Wow! It was such a joy to read all
the posts on Leonhart Kegel. There are definitely posts on Leonhart
that I will be keeping in my file cabinet for a long time!
So, moving on, which son of Leonhart should we tackle next?
Let's go with the firstborn son and the second born son since I
think there is very little to find on Karl Wilhelm Cagle (the
firstborn).
The second born son was John Dutchman Cagle. I would love to know
how we found out his middle name! In German, Deutschmann sounds a
lot like Dutchman except the Deutsch is the German word for
"german." Curiosity kills the cat but I am curious if any one has
any info on this.
Anyway, hope you are all doing wonderfully and are healthy, wealthy
and wise!!
Happy Hunting!
