Yes, no lurking please :) We like discussion as long as it's civil and I think
everyone has been very civil. I thank you for that and I enjoy reading the insights of the
Cagle cousins on this list. I did not know that Karl Wilhelm Cagle and John Dutchman Cagle
were the assumed sons of Leonhart Kegel. See, learn something everyday about this line.
This is why I wanted to start a discussion on each son of Leonhart so we could bring up
some older information that might have been discussed several years ago but that new
members (like myself) might not know and we could be bring things to each other's
attention.
I apologize for my own lurking recently...I just took over a music ministry at a church
and I've had my hands full!! Plus, just going into the Cagle interface and deleting
all the spam that people try to send to this list is ridiculous. If you ever receive spam
from the Cagle list, please notify me because I could have inadvertently accepted it (and
some of it is not nice at all!) Also, if your message does not appear on the list, notify
me as well because some messages may contain content for various reasons that must first
be approved. I have no idea why legitimate messages sometimes end up on my approval list,
just that certain parameters have been set by rootsweb and I keep a watch for truly
legitimate messages so I can get them out to the list as soon as possible.
I hope everyone is doing well and you're healthy, wealthy, and wise!!

Donna,
Please don't lurk. You haven't caused a stir. In fact, I thought you ask
some very good questions.

<<In November 2002, I talked to John G. Cagle on the telephone and inquired
about the cost of a copy of The Cagle Family in the South to 1850. >>
I have a copy of Jimmy B. Cagle's _Cagle Families in the Southern States_.
Is this a different book?
<<I don't believe John G Cagle is going to be to thrilled about someone
coping his works for mass distribution. His work is copy righted.>>
I didn't intend to do this without his permission and as I said, I could
find no copyright on any of the materials that I have.
<<I know he has some copies of his works still available, and when he runs
out he reorders when he has the minimum orders required by his publisher for
press run..>>
As several people have stated, they would love to purchase these books but
when payment is sent and cashed but no book delivered - several times -
people tend to be a little wary of trying again.
<<There is a number of members of the list who have the complete works of
John. Most are willing to help you or have the information you need.
Just ask.>>
I don't have specific questions. I just wanted to have a complete set for
future reference. Sorry to have caused a stir. I'll go back to lurking now.
