Dear List,
We all know how valuable records can be. Census, birth, marriage, death, land etc.
Also as we know are newspaper obituary and news articles.I first learned many years ago,
valuable information on my great great grandparent's from such an article.
There was a news story in the Clarksville Times a newspaper from Clarksville Red River Co;
Tx.
The article concerned my 2nd. great Aunt & Uncle William M. Cagle & Louisa
Elizabeth Risenhoover Cagle.This was written in 1923 on the celebration of their 50th.
wedding Anniversary.
To say the article was informative would be an under statement. Complete information on
their births, parents, and children.
I have found that small town newspapers are a better resource than large towns, or
cities.Today you would seldom see such a lengthily article. An anniversary today would
only garner a small article.
Best Regards,Earl D. Cagle Sr.
