Dear List,Don't know if Anderson Cagle, is a family member of someone so I decided
topost this.Norice at the bottom is the mention was made about two Cagle men, coming
toAmerica before the Revolutionary War.

Nancy Ellena, daughter of John and Betsy Ann Lawless Pirkle.
married Anderson Penn Cagle, son of Harmon and Nancy E. Dunn Cagle,
on Jan. 3, 1861; Jackson Co., Ga.
Nancy E. was born Dec. 23, 1839; Hall Co., Ga.. and died in St. Jo
Texas, on June 28, 1888, Montague, Co.
AndersonP. was born April 16, 1838, in Moore Co., N. C.. and he
was killed by a freight engine in Konawa. Okla.,on Oct. 7, 1914. He
served with Gen. Robert E. Lee during the Civil War—Company I, First
(Georgia Regulars. He enlisted at Gainsville, Ga., 1862.
A. P. Cagle was appointed Census Enumerator in 1870 for Jackson
Co., Ga. In 1871 he bought a tract of land in Hall Co., Ga., and on it
laid out the town of Flowery Branch. This town was on the new railroad
—the Airline—being built from Atlanta, Ga., to Charlotte, N. C. He
moved his family to Texas, landed at Ragan, Texas, Falls Co., on Jan. 16,
1876. After one year at Robertston Springs, he moved to Hill Co., Clay
Co., Grayson Co., and Montague Co., Texas.
His second wife was Mrs. Louise Carpenter Vern, who was reared
pear London, England. They had no children. They lived in Komawa,
Okla., Seminole Co., where he died. His second wife died in Konawa on
March 3, 1928.
A. P. and his first wife were IMissionary Baptists. He was a farmer
merchant, civil engineer, and non-political.
AndersonP. Cagle was a grandson of William and Sarah Bruer
Cagle of Moore Co., N. C. William and Sarah had children as follows:Henry, Jane, John,
Harmon, Isaac, Patsy, Catherine, and William,Before the War of the Revolution, two
brothers by the name of
Cagle—originally spelled Kagle—came from Germany to the colony of
