Gary and Jimmy,
The information you speak of is in John G. Cagle's book, "Cagle Census
Records Of The South. 1860 To 1910." The information on Charles is as
you have stated below. No connection is made for Charles with the other
Cagles living in Polk Co. I thought I had a match, but the age wouldn't
work.
In Hardin Co. TN on the 7th of June 1841, brothers, John S.(or T.)
Cagle, b. 1827 and Charles Cagle, b. ca 1830-35, were indentured to
Edward G. Dinkins and Thomas Gray respectively. Dinkins was released
from his bond on the 4th of July 1842 when John Cagle ran away. They do
not appear again in Hardin Co. TN records. Has any one seen them?

Hi Gary,
I suspect this Charles Cagle, b. mar 1839, either in TN or AR, may
be from
your line, although I have never been able to determine who were his
parents.
This is in my notes, "It is likely there is some connection between
Charles
and Joseph 1808-1873." I cannot find the source of that note right
now, but
it is probably from one of John G. Cagle's publications. If there is
a
connection I have been unable to find it.
Charles appears in the 1860 Polk Co., AR census, Dallas PO,
1870 & 1900 in
Yell Co., AR, and did not find him in the census of 1880.
Charles' son William M. settled in LeFlore Co., OK, and died there
in
1940. Would appreciate any help on ancestry of Charles.
