Tom Cagle & List,
Is this the will of Henry Cagle, that is in German?
This is some data concerning various wills of
Northampton Co; Pa. Tom, you had sent this same
data to the list last year.
Henry Kegel, is one of those mentioned as I posted
below.
This by the way is the same county & state, where
Andreas Feltzinger left a will on 7-8-1766.
One of his daughters is mentioned in his will. She
was Doroetha Elizabeth Feltzinger. At the time of
Andreas death, she was married to John Henry Seitz. They had a daughter
named Cathrena, who
was married to Henry Kegel.
Also it appears that a John Kegel, was also married to one of Andreas
Feltzinger's, daughters.
However, she isn't mentioned in Andreas will, and
she may of had some sort of dis-agreement with him.
Barney Seitz, is an internet friend of mine who has
researched the connections between Seitz, Feltzinger, and Kegel.
He was kind enough to send me a copy of the transcription of Andreas
Feltzinger's, will and also
the power of attonery.
Below is a excerpt of this sent to me by Barmey:
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------
The pertinent part of the transcript of the Power of Attorney from John
K. Cagle et al, to Simon Hart of Cumberland Co. NC is as follows,
complete with spelling errors:

Sides of Comarland Co. to receive the John, Doratha, and MIchael Heuwn
of Sorkney in Penn, of the Estate of Andrew Feslinger, deceased, with
the part of the said Dortha Sides WHICH SHE LEFT, given & by these
presents granted to our said atterney, out full ahthority etc....in the
10th year of the Reign of our Sovein Lord George the Third, By the Grace
of God, King of Great Britain and in the year of our Lord 1776.
Signed:

George Cagle
Earl, I hope some of this helps, or perhaps it muddies the waters even
more. I highlighted the part about an early Cagle\Waggoner marriage.
Perhaps that is of importance. This info I received second hand as well,
and I added a few of my notes.
Good luck, and let me know if I can be of help again.

Besides John K.Cagle, there is also mention of George Cagle. These as
most of us beleive to be
sons of Leonhart Kegel.
This will as shown below shows a date of 12-3-1789. Not having seen a
transcript of his will,
I don't know if this is his date of death, or a date
when his will was probated.
Now to make the Cagle waters murky, we also have the will of Henry
Cagle, of Moore Co; NC of 1802.
In his will he mentions his wife Caterana, and their
sons William, John, George, Christan, Henry, Jacob, and Peter Cagle.
Now the question is how where the Henry, from the
Northampton Co; PA; will and the Henry Cagle, of
Moore Co; NC; will connected?
I am sure they were related but not sure how.
Anyway to some of you new folks on the Cagle list, there were
connections to Kegel, Seitz, Hart, Feltziner, Wagoner, and a few others.
These German families were some of the earliest settlers
of Pennsylvania.
