Tom,
Sounds like a great idea about having all of this
in a data base. However who is going to take on
this task? You are talking about thousands of
Cagle's & related families. The idea is sound and
one that would be great. But then say you start
with Leonhart Kegel, most of the Cagle's ancestor.
Then you talk of children & children of children,
and on and on. You would really have to plan this
with great foresight. Otherwise you would be as
confused as some folks are now.
Tom, unless you just love to research all Cagle's,
which I do. Then what would be the point, when
you only need to find your, Cagle's.
My 5th. g.grandfather, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st. and my
grandfather. Then each ones wives & each ones
children. Down the line until it's me Earl Cagle,
and my family. People sometimes make it harder
than it needs to be. Sure there were several
Charle's, Leonard's, John's, Henry's, etc. But they
each had different d.o.b & d.o.d. They each also
had different wives & children. Also lived in different
places. When you focus on your families first, then
it's much easier. You will still have gaps here and
there, but you will have done the best you could.
What with sparse records, mis-spellings etc. It is
a small wonder we do as well as we do.
So Tom, we really like your great idea. Now when
can we see your first efforts?:)
Earl
