Hi Cagle Cousins,
A few days ago I unsubscribed from the list for a couple of weeks. I
received a confirmation message from rootsweb that I was infact unsub-ed.
I am still receiving the digest, so apparently it wasn't ordained that I
stop getting it. So I will remain with you for awhile. :)
Some time ago I made a query in Stevens County, Washington State, about a
Cagle family that Lee and I are related to, and I receievd some good data
as a result.
Then, a few days ago I received this in addition from a member of the
Historical Society there:
============================================
Subject: Kegel in Stevens Co, WA
Hi, I don't know if you ever got any connections. I'm not connected
with this family surname, but I do know that are still Kegels in the
Colville area. You might try contacting them...they are listed in the
phone book. Ellen

============================================
In checking the phone books, I find there are, in fact, four Kegel
famillies in Colville, and ten in the entire state. I have tried contact
with none yet, but will do so after the holidays.
The reason I mention this, is that apparently some Kegel's never changed
the spelling to Cagle. We need to keep this in mind while doing our research.
Some of our distant Cagles may still be using the original spelling.
In the meantime, glad I'm still on the list.
Happy Holidays, and God's Blessings to all.
Doyle
