Hi Earl and list: This is where my confusion is for my CAGLE line, (the 1840
census of Sevier) My CAGLE, my ggrandfather PETER CAGLE was born in Sevier
county in 1830, and his parents were JACOB CAGLE and RUTH (A)? (Y)? who were
both born in SEVIER county in 1808. THIS IS MY BRICK WALL. I am wondering
if PETER was a middle name? Maybe that is why I can't seem to find him
anywhere till the late 1800 census's. The census you just posted has several
possibilities, but those are all accounted for, is that correct? Also,
imbecile tho it sounds, I wonder what the definition is of "INDIAN TERRITORY"
in Sevier county, since this is where all my CAGLE'S were born. Liz:):):)
