I recently became a member of the CAGLE list and I want to thank those that
have replied to my message. All the information has been greatly
appreciated. When i signed up for the CAGLE list, I mentioned I was looking
for my gggf and that I would send his information on later. Here is what I
have and what i'm presently looking for. I hope to hear more from the
Cagles that are out there.
To whom it may concern;
I am looking for information on the mother/father of Enoch Cagle, Enoch was
born
in 1812, in North Carolina. (Not to be confused with Enoch Cagle, born 1812,
in Bradley, TN) Enoch married Sarrah Jane (Last name unknown, but could be
Holmes), born 1820 in North Carolina also. Children from this marriage
were: (These names were taken from Census Reports) John H. (Middle initial
could stand for Henry or Henison, not certain of the spelling of Henison)
Cagle,
born 1839, Lewis Cagle, born 1838 (Lewis could have served in the Civil War),
Mary J. Cagle, born 1844, Enoch Cagle, born February 27th, 1847, Catharin
Cagle, born 1850, Elisa Cagle, born 1854, Minerva E. Cagle, Born 1856. It
is believed that most of these Children were borned in Tennessee
The father to these children, Enoch Cagle, served in the Mexican/American
War, in the 5th Infantry, out of Tennessee.
Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.
