THE HERITAGE OF TRANSYLVANIA COUNTY, N. CAROLINA VOLUME III
A special edition in the very popular county heritage book series commemorating
the 150th anniversary of the founding of Transylvania County in 1861
DEADLINE EXTENDED! New deadline for contributing articles and stories as well as
purchasing copies of the book is now set for June 15. Hurry, don’t miss the
deadline!
The 735 member Transylvania Genealogy Group is now preparing the third
volume in the prestigious county heritage book series with a unique format and
approach honoring Transylvania’s sesquicentennial and her proud old founding
families. The original deadline to contribute articles and stories was March
30.
The new history of the county and the early settlers begins in 1790 with the
arrival of the first settler of record and continues on to the founding of the
county 150 years ago, continuing on across the 1800's and into the 1900's. The
rich stories of hundreds of individuals and families will make up the mainstay
of the book.
If you have roots in Transylvania County or ties and kinships to any of
Transylvania families, don’t miss ordering your copies of the book now.
Through the deadline you can place advance orders at prices far below the post
publication price of the few extra copies which will be printed and for sale
later. To guarantee getting your copies of the book, and to pay far less, order
now!
The 735 members of the genealogy group invite you to participate in the
book. Please see our 6 page brochure for the many ways in which you can
participate and honor your families. No individual, no family should be left and
forgotten!
The brochure is available online in PDF at the book project website. Please
print your copy of the brochure that gives full instructions as well as an order
form for advance orders at reduced prices.
