Roberta & List,
Welcome to the Cagle family list.
I did a search in the Cagle List Archives, and
found this one post.
I am not sure if Charlotte, is still on our list.
Hope some of her data may help you.

I started trying to put together my lineage a little while back and have
some questions I would love for anyone to answer.....Please.
First, has anyone ever heard about the Cagles that came west by wagon
train? My direct lineage is (1) Leonard Leonhart Cagle; (2) David Cagle
born abt 1710; (3) George Cagle born 1740 in Moore County, North
Carolina, (4) John M Cagle, born 1780 in Montgomery County, Tenn.;
(5)John Hanson Cagle, born 1834 in Carroll County, Tenn.; (6) John
Franklin Cagle, born 1853 in Benton County, Tenn.; (7) Luman Arthur
Cagle born 1880 in Clintonville,Cedar MO.; (8)Arthur John Cagle born
1908 in Davenport, Washington, (9) Myself: Charlotte Cagle Linehan born
1934 in Spokane , Washington; (10) My children and (11) my
Grandchildren.
It was John Franklin Cagle who was married to Flora Ann (McMillen) Cagle
and their children: Laura Bell Cagle born 1876; Lura Dell Cagle born
1877; Luman Arthur Cagle born 1880; Walter J Cagle born 1886; Annie Jane
Cagle Born 1888; who came westward in a covered wagon to Chelan
Washington. Does anyone have any information about this trip. I heard
as a child (and it may all be folklore) that there were several Cagle
families that started out and they were attacked by Indians alone the
way. The other families supposedly turned back and Franklin and his
family kept going. I have no idea if this is true or not, but I would
like to find out and any other information that someone might be able to
add.
My next question is: How many children did Leonard Leonhart Cagle and
Susannah have? In looking through some of the information on internet,
some say they had three boys, some say four boys, and others say up to
eight childrens. Does anyone know the corect number with documentation?
Third, has anyone every tried to go back to Germany and find out who
Leonard Leonhart Kegel's parents were. Germany would have been under
Prussia control at this time, I believe. I have been to Germany acouple
of times and lives there for a year once, sure wish I had known about
Leonhart then; oh
well.......
I appreicate any and all anwsers anyone has to these questions.
Thank you.
