Below is a message sent to the Hardin Co. History Page. I thought it might be of interest
to other Cagles, and someone might have some useful information. The message that I
received had a word or two cut off. I assume a tree fell on Jacob Cagle?
"Tennesseans in the Civil War" indicate that Company D of the 35th was from
Warren Co. TN. The unit was stationed at Camp Hill at Corinth MS immediately before the
battle of Shiloh. Perhaps they occupied the same camp after the battle. Might be a place
to start.

ell on tent killing 3 men, who were buried the next day. Am looking for
possible grave site.
