Dana,
The information I have came from the internet. I have no source
documents to prove or
disprove the information I have on this family.
I am having some difficulty with the information based on info found in
John G Cagle's "The
Cagle Family in the South, to 1850. Vol. II: Georgia Chapter 5:
Franklin/Habersham/Banks
Counties, 1797-1850, seem to contradict some of the information I have
for this family unit.
Until I get this straightened out, I would prefer not to give you any
further information, if you
don't mind. Once erroneous information gets started, even innocently, it
seems to perpurtrate
it's self like wild fire and is impossible to stop.
Funny you should ask for information on this one, I have been working all
day on this.

P.S. This is the line of Sara Tidwell<STidw(a)aol.com>. Perhaps she can
help you.

Can you share with me where the information on the parents and
ancestors of
Mahala Cagle Burns (1798-1881) can be found? I am interested in this
lady
because of her close association with Leonard Cagle (1798-1866).
Whatever
proof you have for Mahala's father could dispel this notion that she
and
Leonard were siblings.
