Hi Mary,
John G Cagle wrote most of them. He is probably the foremost genealogist
of the Leonhart (Cagle) Kegel
progeny. Jimmy can tell you of others. Jimmy B. Cagle is also, a fine
genealogist and has published a
book consisting of over 800 pages of purely genealogical data on the sons
of Leonhart Kegel and their
descendents, primarily in the Southern States, although there are a few
from the north, as well.
John has some of his into reprint (mine) and Jimmy B, last I heard had
only a few of his left. You would need
to contact John via snail mail but, you can contact Jimmy B
electronically at <JBCagle(a)aol.com>. John's
books give data on Cagles by location., i.e., of county or state; Jimmy's
is by branch then, generation after
generation. Both have their merits. I waited three years and I can tell
you honestly, I wasted three years.
For the most part, the information I was seeking on 10 generations of
Cagle was already in print, down
to and including, my grandfather.
