Wilma, you pose several questions. I will dissect your message and
attempt to answer
all your questions inturn so as not to forget one.
Lee, Thanks for the imfo. Isabell was my grandmother. My Mother is
her daughter Nollie. Do you have any imfo on Isabells Father, Nathan
and when he died and where he is burried? My Mother thought he died
in the early 20's in Gaiesville, Tex. But we have searched
everywhere at all the cemeteries and funeral homes and can't find
anything. Hope you can help.

Family lore indicates Nathan and Sarah died sometime in the late 1920s or
early 1930s. Possibly living in Sherman? Further, that Nathan died as a
result of a bad fall and Sarah died from Pneumonia. Nathan was
enumerated as a boarder with Mrs Norma H. Rendleman for the 1910 US Fed
Census of Johnson Co, Tunnel Hill Twp, Illinois

I had Marion Cagles wives mixed up, but
have them right on my papers. I knew Barney's sister real well.
Elsie , She used to preach with my grandmother Isabell. Her
granddaughter sent me some things on Marion and some of the kids.
She lives in Mo. and she came to see me about a year ago. I was glad
to meet her. What was Barney's wifes name? My Mother thought they
called her Shorty. But was all she knew.

I don't have Barney's wife's name. If you learn it, be sure to let me
know. Did they
have children?

I have that Birdie married
a Griggs and they had a son named Carroll. I think they lived in
Cal. somewhere.

I can't help you with this one either. Seems you have more information
than I do. Most of my information are on the earlier Cagles. ie.,
Nathan's
father, grandfather, great grandfather, etc back to Leonhart Kegel who
migrated here from Germany in 1732.
============================
Are the names you gave me for Adam his father and grandfather. We
haven't been able to find anything on his parents. Where did they
come from originally. Do you know what nationality the Cagles are?
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Adam Cagle, b. 1803 in Davidson Co., TN is the father of Nathaniel Cagle.
What name did I give you for his grandfather?
===================================
Are you related and how if so. I live in Ardmore, Okla. Didn't
know
we had any relatives anywhere near. If you want on Isabells family
anything I'll be glad to give it to you. My Mother Nollie Laningham
Denison is 91 years old. She is the only one left in her family. She
still goes everywhere. I have a nephew that lives in South Oklahoma
City. On 122nd. Street S.W.

Most all the Cagles in this country are related. The old fellow I
mentioned earlier
was b. 1683 in Germany and migrated to Philidelphia in 1732 along with 4
sons,
then he had three more sons in Philidelphia. About 1754, he migrated to
that
area of North Carolina which is now known as Moore County. These sons
migrated
as pioneers to TN, GA, KY, AR, IL, AL, MO, and TX and had large families.
I have
not checked to see which of these sons your branch came from but, we all
came
from old Leonhart Kegel (later anglicized to Leonard Cagle). I hope I
have
answered your questions. If not, let me know and I will be happy to
provide more
details if I can.

P.S. When you are in the city, give me a call. Perhaps we can get
together for
a cuppa and talk family.
