I am not at all surprised. I have a copy of the actual census page for
1850. It is Henry O. Cagle. My transcribed copy of the 1860 census lists
the family as that of John Heggle---I have read the microfilm and I think it
is John Keggle. In the transcribed copy of the 1870 census, Uncle Henry is
listed as H. A. Cagle. I am not sure he could write, not well anyway, but I
have his signature which is clearly H. O. Cagle. There is no mistake.

Thanks for letting me know who is related to this line. That was an
interesting story you posted also, David.
One question I have is that in the 1850 & 1880 census, he is listed as
Henry C. Cagle. However, you say his full name is Henry Overton Cagle?
