While looking over the 1850 Tennessee Census I came across Shaderick
Cagle, and his family listing. This is an unusual name and I don't
remember much if any discussion about him. After comparing some records
I came across some interesting data :
1850 Blount Co; TN 1527-206
Cagle, Shaderick 36, Martha 26, Elizabeth 8, Esther 4, Elijah 1. NC, TN
I was unable to find him in the Tennessee census for 1860, and 1870.
I then found this listing for 1880 Tennessee, under Martha Cagle. She is
listed with this family :

===================================
This is Shaderick Cagle's, wife Martha living with some of her children.
I then found this marriage for Knox Co; Tn :
Mary A. Cagle to Harvey Cheatham on
18 Aug 1870.
Using the 1850 census for Tennessee as my guide, this had to be his
family.
Note the difference on the spelling for Cheatham, in the two records.
Also in 1850 it is Esther Cagle, and Hester Cagle, in the 1880 census.
Who was Shaderick Cagle's family? The way some of these family names are
mis-spelled make it hard to find ones family. You have to be creative
when looking for family records.
