I am sending this to list. May have come to me by mistake.

Hi Mary Lou, this is LaMona Phillips I have some of your John Cagle
information I descend from Henry Cagle SR 1730 Germany. My direct line is
down through the William C. Cagle SR 1754 and his son William C. Cagle JR
Comment: I of late have seen old William C. Cagle SR 1754 listed as William
Cooper Cagle, my e-mail is bphillips(a)bak.rr.com Sincerely, LaMona

Mary Lou,
I see the problem you have concerning John Cagle, b. 1802. The 1830
census
of Sevier Co. has listed two Cagles named John. I don't suppose
that
both
of them would be children of William Cagle, b. 1754. As John G.
suggested
in "Cagle Census Records of the South 1790-1850," your
John Cagle is
more
likely a grandchild of William. Unfortunately, some of the 1830
census
of
Tennessee is not written in such a manner that you can speculate on
family
relationships. However, I note that your John Cagle was listed on
the
same
census page with Henry Cagle, son of William. I don't know if
that has
any
significance.
David
