Bill,
I am assuming that Sarah Elizabeth Cagle was from MS. My Cagles of Hardin
Co., TN came there from NC and are not closely related to the Cagles in MS.
I will post this to the Cagle List.
My g/grandfather, Charles Cagle, 1844-1930, was in the First Confederate
Cavalry, but did not join until 1863. he was not in the Battle of Shiloh.
I had other kin folks who were.

I went to Savannah once & they have pretty good records. The Shiloh
Battlefield nearby has a lot of listings of soldiers.
My Great Grand Dad , William R. Rogers of Miss. Co. K 6th Inf. fought
there & married Sarah Elizabeth Cagle after the war.
