There are other Cagle-Whitlow connections. My dad a Cagle and mother a
Whitlow---both their families were living in Hardin Co., TN by ca 1820.
There was another Whitlow family that came to Hardin Co. from Sequatchie
Co., TN between 1880 and 1900. The James Benjamin Cagle, mentioned below,
along with a Henry Cagle were on the 1833 Tax List of Hardin Co., TN, but
moved to AL before 1840. I think they may have come here (Hardin Co.) from
Warren Co. TN? I believe Grandma Whitlow may have been related to the
Sequatchie Co. Whitlows?
Someone help me out here?
David

Just found a book I have had for a bit on a Cagle family in Alabama.
I am interested in finding out more about the family of Odell Cagle .the
family
photo includes :John,Columbus,Tempie,"Grandma
Whitlow",Odell,Albert,Mae and Bessie.
the grandparents of the above listed cagles are also
pictured
-James(benjamin?)and Elizabeth Cagle -He could pass for my
Grandfathers twin-there has Got to be a connection.
Any info appreciated .
this family was deeply involved with the Pentecostal Church and the book
was
written by Paul Ray Cagle.
