Nov. 14, 1945, Longtime Resident Dies at Age of 82
Death came to John W. Cagle, 82, at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Twin Falls
hospital following a stroke he had suffered last Saturday.
Mr. Cagle was born in Madisonville, Tenn. on Dec. 24, 1862, and came to Idaho on 1917
from Vonore, Tenn. He farmed in this area until 1928, when he retired. His wife, whom he
had married in Madisonville, died on Mar 3, 1928.
His survivors include the following children: F. M. Cagle, Mrs. Luia Howard, Roy
Cagle, all of Buhl; Gus Cagle of Filer; Ola and Arlie Cagle, both working for the
Morrison-Knudson company somewhere in the South Pacific and Mrs. Mayme Terry of San
Bernardino, Calif. Other survivors are his 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by on son, Homer.
Funeral services will be held at ?:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at the Buhl Baptist
church, with the Rev. Max Greenlee officiating.
Interment will be in the Buhl cemetery under the direction of the Albertson Funeral
Home.

Frank M. Cagle Dies Wednesday
Frank M. Cagle, resident and farmer of Buhl for 38 years, died at his home Wednesday
afternoon at 3:50 p.m.
Mr. Cagle was born in Monroe County, Tennessee on September 20, 1885. He married
Sadie Crowder in Knoxville, Tennessee on May 15, 1912 and the couple moved to Buhl to make
their home in March, 1918. Mr. Cagle farmed here until 1954 when he retired because of
ill health.
Besides his widow he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Norris Westby of Buhl; by three
sons, Harry W. Cagle of Dubois, Kenneth Cagle of Oakridge, Oregon and Carl Cagle of Buhl,
by two sisters, Mrs. Lula Howard of Buhl and Mrs Mamie Terry of Los Angeles; by two
brothers; Roy Cagle of Buhl and Olie Cagle of Payette. and by four grandchildren.
The body rests at the Albertson funeral home pending further arrangements.
