I may be wrong on this but I seem to recall reading during my research on my
husband's family (Heck) that when the Palatines emigrated, some went to
America and some to Great Britian and on to Ireland. Leonart Kegel came from
the Palatinate.
I'm not familiar with the Mechlenburgh Signers so someone else will have to
field that question.
There is an email list on Rootsweb called the IRL-Palatine-L that deals
specifically with Irish Palatines. You might look that direction.

It is my understanding that the Cagles in the book were
predomininently
Irish -my lines are predominately German .
Were there separate sets of Cagles -Irish and German?
