This pertains to Esquire Posey and wifes, Jane & Milly/Molly/Mary Cagle. This is a good file for those of you who are in this line and those who are attempting to reconstruct the CAGLE ancestry back to Germany and beyond.

Have been watching for years and trying to get a handle on my husband's placement in this line since his mother came into possession of Bishop family Bible. Any input greatly appreciated. Here's what I have concluded:Leonhart Kegel and Susanna LNU-Johan Theobald/Dewald "David" CAGLE (not Dutchman) and Katherine Cockman or Seitz (which one is it- is there a consensus or proof?)- Jacob (Sr.) son of David not Dutchman CAGLE and Lucy Derrah/Darrow- Henry Pinkney CAGLE and Celia Bullock- Isaac R CAGLE (the Reverend in 1850 Census in Alabama and why did he move around so much, anybody?)- and Amanda Morrison- Mary Lou CAGLE (whose death cetificate lists mother as Petitte and Isaac was married to a Petitte and also Ephema Hill)- Mary Lou Cagle born 03 Sep 1853 Lawrence county, Alabama married Anderson Edward Oakley of Weakley, TN 08 Mar 1877 in Johnson, Illinois and he died Dec 1883. She married Joseph P McGOWEN/McGowan on 21 Mar 1884 in Johnson county, Illinois. He was born 04 Feb !
1860 Johnson, Illinois and died 09 Mar 1925 in Butler county, Missouri and Mary Lou died 08 Jan 1940 in Stoddard county, Missouri. Their daughter Effie Frances McGOWAN married a Bishop 23 Jan 1923. Thank you in advance.
