HEREDITARY HEMOCHROMATOSIS
Hereditary Hemochromatosis,[HH] is a genetic condition of iron overload
affecting approximately 1 out of 200-300 people, with 1 in 8-10 people being
carriers. It is 100% fatal if not diagnosed early & treated aggressively, yet
with early diagnosis & treatment, one can expect a normal life span.

In this table you will find many of the organs/systems that may be affected
by Hereditary Hemochromatosis, as well as the symptoms or problems that may
be associated with HH. These are resources, urls, articles, etc. which I have

them & place them under their corresponding symptoms/problems in this table. If

What does iron do to the BRAIN?
Alzheimers or Parkinson's, strokes, seizures
It is very important that the proper tests are ran to check your iron
status. A hemoglobin [hgb] level alone is not sufficient & patients may even have
a low hgb. level, yet be iron overloaded. A low hgb. should always be
evaluated to find the CAUSE of the anemia before assuming that it is from iron
deficiency & routinely treating with iron. Do NOT ever take iron without first
knowing your true iron status!
The correct lab tests that you should ask your doctor to do are:
Iron
Ferritin
Total Iron Binding Capacity [TIBC]
Transferrin Saturation[TS]
These should be done in the morning hours, after an overnight fast. There is
also a genetic test now available that you can do in the comfort of your
home, without needles! More information on it can be found in the links below.

Hello Patricia,
We corresponded before regarding your ancestry. I don't remember the specifics and am too lazy to look it up again, but I believe you are descended from on of the sons of Benjamin Franklin Cagle, b. 1819. Ben remained in GA but, some of his sons moved to Arkansas and I believe you are from that group.
I am descended from Benjamin Franklin Cagle as well; however, mine made the jump from GA to TX and then, to Oklahoma.
Nice to hear from you again.

Hi, This name struck a chord, but I was looking at the wrong generation so it took me a while to find this one. I know of two Madge Cagles born in Georgia and without the birthdate I'm just guessing, but based on her husband's age found in some records, I would say that this Madge was born around 1905. At first I thought this was George Cagle's (Jacob and Luthany Tyler Cagle's son) daughter, but since George wasn't born until 1897 and they were a Hall County family, it didn't fit. The only other one I know about is Lindon Cagle's daughter (listed as Mage in the 1910 census Pickens Co Ga). He's Asbury Cagle's son. Earl, this is probably one that you're more familiar with, but isn't that line through George Washington Cagle? Anyway, either line would end up through Jacob Cagle and Elizabeth Gilmore to John Dutchman Cagle. Earl can probably give you more specifics since he's done more research on the Cagles in Pickens, Gilmer and Cherokee than I have. Mine's Hall County. Hope this helps. Good luck with your search.

Hi LaMona, Perhaps you can give me your thoughts on this family. No way do
I believe that Mary Barrett Cagle was having children when she was in her
late 50's! Do you know of any proof that the last children - Nancy,
Matthew, George C., Elizabeth & Pheriby - were children of Mary's? I see
online family trees where William C. Cagle, Sr. was purported to have had
more than two wives. Do you know of any will left by William C. Cagle,
Sr.?
Ohhh, I just noticed that I gave my Grandfather's death date as 1947! Arvel
Watson Cagle, Sr., died in 1984.
Thanks,
Mary

This will provide Sylvia with a record of her line from our oldest know ancestor to her father.
This has been prepared from the book "Cagle Families Of Cherokee and Pickens Counties, Georgia" I have not changed any of the information I found therefore some unknown errors could exist.
Leonhardt Kegel
Henry Cagle - Caterana Seitz John "Dutchman" Cagle - Catherine
Peter Cagle - Rachel Boling Jacob Cagle - Elizabeth Gilmore
Martha Patsy Cagle - Garrett Cornelison
Lisenna Cornelison - Asbury Cagle (son of) George Washington Cagle- Sarah Haynes
James Lyndon (Bob) Cagle - Bulah Holmes
Mary Madgelee Cagle - Everett Watkins
Children of above: Edward
Mary Sue
Donald
Dever (Sylvia's father)
Sylvia, I hope this will be of benefit, as you can see you got a double dose from old Leonhart from two of probably most known sons. With my best wishes, Earl L. Cagle, Sr.
Maybe I figured it out because I was the one drinking! :)

Mary, I think Ashley just cut and pasted it from its source, and in
the process it lost its formatting. I believe it should read:
Wiliam C Sr Cagle
born 1754 in Oley Twp, Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States of
America
Died 1852 Sevier County, Tennessee, United States of America
sincerely, Kim Townsend Spangrude
