Ralph Raymond Matthews, a Cagle descendant, died July 6, 2004 in Moore, Okla.
He was the son of Maudie (Wofford) & Sam Matthews; grandson of Hattie (Cagle)
& Thomas Wofford; and great-grandson of Sarah (Boatman) & William Cagle.
Raymond was a first cousin of my grandpa.
He was born Oct 15, 1917 in Pauls Valley, OK. He married Faye Spears Rhodes
on June 10, 1948. They had three daughters and she also had one by a first
marriage. Faye died in 1999. They are both buried at Resthaven Cemetery in Okla.
City, OK.
His daughter, Cheryl Dean Matthews, then passed away on Aug 31, 2004.
I do not know what I did with Raymond's obituary, but I'll post it when I
find it.
Tidbit: Raymond's mother lived to be 99 1/2 years-old.
