John And Pheriby Cagle were also my ggg-grandparents. My gg-grandparents were Andrew Anderson and Flora Ann Cagle Morgan. This was the second marriage for both and both had children from their first marriages. My g-grandfather, A.A. Morgan, Jr., was their only son together. They were married in 1863. I believe Flora Ann's first husband, John Boyd, probably died in the Civil War and that possibly he and A.A., Sr. fought together. A.A., Sr. was in the 3rd (Lillard's) TN Infantry, CSA. Any information that you are willing to share would be greatly appreciated!

I have a George Cagle m. Nancy Elizabeth Freeman b. 1806. They had children: John, Rhoda,Charles, Nancy, Mary and Deborah.
Also a George Cagle (1782-1864) m. Nancy "Polly" Latham (1790-1851) daughter of John Latham, had a brother John Latham, Jr.
If either are the ones you're looking for send me an e-mail directly and I'll send what I have.
I ran across the following Cagle names at the Fisher Cemetary in Arkansas:
T. W. Cagle b. 9/18/1886, d 9/19/1905; Ira Cagle no dates listed; Molly
Cagle no dates listed; and Minnie Leigh Cagle no date for birth listed but
date for death listed as 3/25/95? This may or may not be relative
information but I noticed it was same initials as your Thomas William Cagle.

Tom & List,
Thanks for the information on our Cagle ancestors. It dosen't make any
sense why someone would remove their crosses. If that is their final
resting place you would think they would respect that. Being on private
land I imagine there is nothing you can do. Still anyone should have
respect for the deceased even if their not related.

Earl,
I tried to send this directly to your new e-mail, but kept getting failure notices back. In case you didn't get it, thought I'd send it this way to make sure you see it.
I recently got more information about the burial place of Charles Cagle and his wife Elizabeth. A relative in Hickman Co., Mary, talked to Jerry Cagle who lives in Coble, TN. Jerry helped his father Jessie Harden Cagle make all of the crosses for the Cagle cemetery along with two extra crosses for the graves of Charles and Elizabeth. It seems Charles and Elizabeth asked to be buried on their farm, beneath a certain tree. Hard knew where the grave was so he marked the graves with the crosses. The current property owners have since removed the crosses.
I think it is sad that they now have no marker, but at least we are remembering. I am going to ask Mary to put together a map with landmarks that are not subject to change so we can identify the location for future generations.
Have a Good Week-end!
Tom

looking for kin folk of this couple and there children
The 1930 Cumberland Co., TN census lists Dollie M. Cagle, age 15, single, born Alabama and Walter Cagle, age 10, born TN, living in the household of Frank Dodson, as his step-children. His wife is listed as Mary, age 42, born Alabama.
Do you have these children listed in your database? I am wondering if these children belong to Albert A. Cagle, born in Winston Co., AL.. He second married Mary, last name unknown, and they are listed in the 1920 Marion Co., TN census with a daughter named "Dolly", age 3. This census date was 5 Jan 1920. Possibly Walter was not born at the time of this census.
I have not been able to find Albert A. Cagle on the 1930 census and he was possibly deceased by that time. I have been unable to find a death record for him. I do not know who his wife married after his death.
Any and all help with this family is greatly appreciated!
