Hi Cagle Cousins,
Two items of interest today. I have a reference concerning a newly
listed Cagle cemetery located near the Alabama-Georgia Line in Dekalb Co,
AL. It's supposed to be posted on the cemetery listings, but I have been
unable as yet to access this listing, so I am e-mailing Pam Long, the
GenWeb co-ordinator for such listings. She's in Mobile, AL, so as soon as I
get a reply, I'll post my findings. There are several of us seeking Cagle
relatives in this area, so this may help.
Secondly, my new domain for research is now operational. I have multiple
resource links online, and am adding more daily. There are links and
sub-links for hundreds of resources. Some are difficult to find by simply
searching.
There are German church records, and genealogy links, as well as
Switzerland, and other European sites. Many of the links are just basic
genealogy, but I have them all in one place to save having to hunt them out
on the web. There are also research helper links for those who might need
them, such as time periods of epidemics, war periods by years, etc, Things
which genealogists should be able to use.
I will be adding other pages for such items as software, freebie help,
and such.
This is not a commercial site. I am selling nothing, it's just for help.
I plan on adding a form for suggestions, but haven't had time yet. If
you have a favorite search link, please e-mail me. I'll try to add it when
I can.
I have ample band-width for in access of 100,000 page views daily, so
don't hesitate to use this resouce. It may save you some time. I have just
verified all links, but as the web is irrational, please advise me of any
broken links..
Best wishes to all, Doyle

Hi Linda
All I was trying to say is that two of Charles and Susannah's childrens
descendents do have it, in there family lines. The gene has to come from
somewhere. My great grandmother who is the daughter of Charles Arter Calge,
my grandmother my grandmothers half brother and my aunt who is a half sister
to my father died from it at the age of 55, 3 of my 1st cousins, my daughter
has it, have it now and 1 cousin s a carrier and 1 aunt a carrier so far.
We can't be sure what family members have died from this because they were
not tested. And we didn't know anything about the Hemochromatosis. But once
you find out that you have this many cases in the family, it's a good thing
to let as many people know as you can. Because of my letting people know
about the Blood disease , one of my Henry's brothers descendents has been
tested and tested positive, and two of his cousins also have tested
positive. You do not have to have every symptoms to have it many people go
without symptoms at all. When you turn bronze you are very advanced. My
daughters coloring is pale , severe fatigue, headaches, joint pain in her
fingers, abdominal pain. you can't be tested just one time or just a
hemoglobin test is not enough because you can have a low hemoglobin but high
iron saturation. My daughter thought she was anemic because of symptoms but
wanted to be tested for Hemochromatosis before taking iron, her test results
were positive. This is something you need to be tested for yearly. I'm very
glad you and your family members havn't tested positive. Dr. Bob's Cagle
family has this going threw is line of Cagle's also , we do not know who
Tabitha belongs to yet, his mother died from this and I think he said a
couple of his brothers have it.
With Love Your Cousin Nancyjane
(this is what is says a simple blood test can indicate iron levels. They must
be proper iron measures: Total Binding Capacity (TIBC) together with Serum
Iron Divide TIBC into SI to get percentage of transferrin saturation. Follow
up with Serum Ferritin ) this is a two part test.
The excess Iron injures body organs, it causes Heart irregularities,
fatigure, cirrhosis,(even if you do not drink) arthritis , diabetes and or
cancer, these are a few of the signs. There are more signs. This is not a
uncommon illness.
Nadeen, David & List,
Having checked my Shaw records, there was no
connection to Nadeen's Shaw family.
My Shaw family, lived for awhile in Marshall and
Calloway Cos; Ky. They later settled in Stewart Co;
Tn; and that is where my mother & grandfather,
were born.
Your Benjamin Jackson Alexander Cagle, is one
I am not familiar with.
There is a record on the SSI database as follows:
BENJAMIN CAGLE 12 Oct 1891
Feb 1975 63957 Piedmont, Wayne, MO
344-14-4365
IL (Before 1951) Write Letter
His date of birth matches with your Benjamin Cagle.
This shows he died in Feb 1975, and his last known
residence. This also shows his card was issued in
Illinois before 1951.
Nadeen, have you looked at his death certificate?
In most cases this will show his wife, mother, and
father's names.
Either this is your ancestor or two Benjamin Cagle's,
sharing the same date of birth.
Earl
Nadeen, Earl and List,
Let me state off the top that I don't know any of those listed in the post
below. But, it is most interesting. Benjamin Jackson Alexander Cagle, b.
12 Oct. 1891 at Serrogordo, Tenn. Who were his parents? I would like to
know any other information on this Cagle as well as the Shaws.
My Cagle family has lived continuously at Cerro Gordo, TN since the 1820's.
Saltillo TN is on the opposite bank of the Tennessee River from the Cerro
Gordo Community. I have lived here all my life and never heard reference to
Benjamin Jackson Alexander Cagle. Do I have a long lost relative? Please
tell me more. I will help in any way I can.

Hi group
I know I'm a pest about this Hemochromatosis, but we have it linked back to Ch
arles and Susannah Cagle , of Warren County, Tennessee. Charles son of Old
Jacob d. 1845, Tennessee, and Susannah dau. of George Cagle Sr. d. 1825 North
Carolina. Have a cousin that has this from this line , and said to have two
more cousin from this line, who also have it. This is not something you can
check out just one time you have to have the test done just about every year.

Hello List, a while back I sent a request to my uncle in Texas asking him to
take a look at the will that one of the list members needed translated. I
received a reply today and apparently my uncle IS able to translate it and is
working on doing so. As soon as it is completed he will let me know.
Hello All,
Please help welcome Karen Orr, to our list. This is
her posting she sent to me. If someone can help her, please do so.

Hi List,
Hope everyone's computer has survived into the New Year!
I have two names that I was wondering if anyone recognized. Julie Cagle Smith (Aunt Julie) and Dovie Cagle Smith (Aunt Dovie). Seems they are the first two burials in the Cagle Cemetery in Hickman CO, TN. I know nothing more about them, just wondering if anyone ever heard of them.
Thanks!

My husband wondered if one is considered the "last baby born in the century"
and the other the "first baby of the century". I myself felt sympathy for
the mother for when she has to write their birth dates on documents, it sure
would get confusing!
