Here’s some of the info I have on these two sons:
1. ALFRED CAGE. Born ca 1801 in TN & died in Limestone Co. AL before 1850. Married
Elizabeth "Eliza" C. Grant (VA ca. 1806 – after 1870, Hinds Co. MS), daughter of
William Grant & Ann Caroline "Nancy" Garrett, on 8 Jan 1822 in Madison Co.
AL. She is buried in Greenwood Cem., Jackson, Hinds Co. MS. Judging by the birthplaces of
his childen, apparently Alfred moved to Madison Co. AL before 1822, and returned to
Tennessee by 1832. He may well have died there, for his widow Eliza had returned to
Alabama by 1850 and later moved to Jackson, Hinds Co. MS by 1870.
Alfred appears in the 1830 Bedford Co. TN census: 10000100000001-120011

Annie Grant Cage was an active member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, serving
as Presicent of the Ben LaBree Chapter #118 in Jackson, MS in 1897 and founding chpaters
in Princeton, Paducah, Mayfield and Fulton, KY; Dyersburg, TN and Natchez, MS. She was
later elected Vice President of the U.D.C. for the state of Mississippi in 1901.

2. WILSON J. CAGE. Born ca 1805 in TN. Wilson J. died in 1870/1880. Married Mary B.
Cardwell (ca 1810/1815 - aft 1880). daughter of Rev. Richard Wilson Cardwell &
Margaret Lloyd, on 1 Oct 1828 in Bedford Co. TN. He was a Methodist & Charter Member
(1857) of the Zion Methodist Episcopal Church, north of Fayetteville, Washington Co. AR.
Other members included Mary B. Cage (his wife) and several members of the Cardwell family,
including class leader the Rev. Richard W. Cardwell (his father-in-law). Given the Census
records of the birth of his children, it seems likely that Wilson moved to Washington Co.
AR with other members of the Cardwell family between 1833 and 1839. He received land
patents in Washington Co. AR on 20 Sep 1839 (Sec15 Twp14N Rng31W; 40 a.) & 15 Nov 1854
(Sec29 Twp17N Rng29W; 40 a.) After his death between 1870 & 1880, his widow Mary
moved to Milam Co. TX, with her son James Cage.

I myself have been looking for Cage cemetery records from the Milam & Robertson Co. TX
Cemetery books, where I suspect more information on Richard W. & James L. Cage can be
found. Does anyone have this information?
