The only Clarence Caffey I know of is son of Andrew Jackson (1826-1905) m.
Caroline Cornelia Graves.
Andrew Jackson Caffey was son of Hooper (b1793) m second wife Mary Elizabeth
Ivey
Hooper Caffey was son of John Caffey (1752-1826) m. Mary Buchanan (d. 1817)
m. Sarah
(John Caffey who died 1826 in Mont. Alabama was in the Revolutionary War
and fought with Washington and Lafayette)
John Caffey, Rev. Soldier, was son of John (1726-1785) m. Suffiah (d. 1777)
m. Nancy
John Caffey (1726-1785) is thought to have been the son of Michael Caffey (d
1754) m. Sarah Ennals, daughter of Mary and Henry Ennals
Don't know if this is your line. My great great grandfather was Charles
Caffey (1888) m. Nancy Lewis. He also was son of John, the Rev. Soldier.

I have recently began researching my family history. My great grandfather
on my
mother's side is named Clarence Caffey. He was married to Gertrude
Squires and they had a son named William Robert (my grandfather). Clarence
died about 1923 in a sawmill accident in Mineola, Texas when my grandfather
was two years old. His mother remarried in 1926 to Draper Gage and my
grandfather was enrolled in school as William Robert Gage. I am looking for
any information you might have on Clarence Caffey and his ancestors.. Thank
you for any help you can give me!
