I found these newspaper articles in an old scrapbook of obits and marriage
notices from St. Clair, Michigan, newspapers (probably the Republican.)

to Miss Alice Cady, violinist of the Ottawa Conservatory, with her mother
and sister. We venture to assert that Miss Cady's playing has been
surpassed but once...Her sister Miss Lizzie Cady entranced the house with
her Indian Bell Song..."
"1898 (taken from the) Blue Rapids, Kansas, Motor: One of the New Years
social surprises in Blue Rapids was the marriage of Ella M. Cady to Judge
Hiram P. Vrooman of Parsons which took place at the home of the bride on
the evening of New Year's Day...Miss Cady as a musician has gew equals in
the state and has done much to elevate the character of music in Blue
Rapids..."
