I wrote to the library in Palmyra, NY looking for information
about Alexander or Ela Cady. The librarian there couldn't
find my elusive ancestors, but he very kindly sent me these
snippets. The address is
Palmyra Kings Daughter's Library
127 Cuyler Street, Palmyra, NY 14522
(315) 597-5276
The first set of snippets appear to be copies of 3x5
cards typed from newspaper articles by some devoted
volunteer. I added a note or two in square brackets.

The librarian also looked through an index to old copies
of newspapers and sent me a list of entries. If any of
them are your relatives he would probably be happy to
send you a copy of the whole article. I don't know what
the fee would be. A small ($5) donation to the roof fund
and a SASE should cover it.
