Hazel Belle Cady Blake wrote a 30-page memoir of Nebraska at the turn
of the century. She came to Jamison, in Keya Paha County in a covered
wagon, lived in a sod house, went to a one-room school house and
killed rattlesnakes with a stick. I have a copy and would be happy to
send it to anyone who wants it. Let me know if your mail server
handles attachments well (AOL does not) and if you have Word 97. I can
send it out as
1) A .DOC file attachment (75 KB)
2) A .TXT file attachment (55 KB)
3) A flat (long) mail message
The word document is easiest to read; they all have the same data.
