Mary,
I have not heard back from Vickie yet but hope to soon. You can try
writing to this Anne Cady at acady(a)bloominton.in.us I have never written to
her but that is who sent the original message to my friend, Vickie. You can
also write to Barry at Barrymor(a)aol.com He seems to be involved in Cady
research also. There is a Martin Jones researching Cady in Indiana his
e-mail is mjonesmat(a)aol.com
I am not sure who your Samuel is but I have found a Samuel Cady here is
Steuben Co., NY in the 1810, 1820 and 1830 census then he disappears. I can
only guess that he went to IN. or some such place. I found that there is a
Cady cemetery in Otter Creek Township, Ripley Co, Indiana. There is a Rev.
Samuel Cady buried there having died April 18, 1851 at age 79 years, 3
months, 9 days. and his wife Sarah Thomas Cady is also believed to have been
buried there. In the same cemetery there is a Fanna E. Cady (Cameron) who
died March 30, 1852 at age 26 years, 7 months, 20 days. She married Dec. 25,
1844 to Dr. A.P. Cady.
As you can see you have sparked my interest and if you hear from any of
these people I would most certainly like to know what is said. Perhaps you
could forward their messages to me, PLEASE ! If we could tie them into the
descendants of Nicholas Cady I would like to add them to my web site. By
the way I DO NOT post people born after 1900 on the internet. I have found
it is not a good idea. People like their privacy and I appreciate that and
do my best to guarantee that they keep their privacy. So if you have
current day information you would like to share with me it will be kept
private.
I shall still keep looking around here for more information to help
you. I am fairly sure that Samuel came from Steuben County, NY and is
linked to my Cady family. Keep in touch talk to you later.
Your friend in New York
George
