Here is a wierd conincidence...regarding the name Lyman. My mother recalls a
HENRY LYMAN in Twin Lakes Michigan. Mom was born in 1917, and as a little kid
(so maybe 1920's or so)she recalls that Henry Lyman was a civil war vet. Henry
Lymans wifes name might be Trowbridge (not sure of spelling) mom says all
the children just called her Auntie Lyman as kids then never addressed an elder
by their first name but by "auntie" or "Miss" and their last
name...her
recollection is vivid because he was by then an old old man but would still dress in
his civil war Union army uniform on July 4th and be in the celebrations for
it. There was another civil war vet who had alot of kin there...His name was
Charles (Charlie) Buzzell. Her and the other kids thought it sort of odd, and
funny really as the civil war to them then was like W W one would be to kids
today...a long way away. As far as she knows Lyman was not any kin to her. MAybe
this will help. Mom says for sure both of them and ALL the Buzzells are buried
in the OLD part of Twin Lakes Cemetary.
hope this helps someone...
