Thanks Glen! I will write and see what I can find from both Cornish and from
Weathersfield. I am not sure what the Allen records are? Is that a family name or town or
county name? Did you find any records at all regarding Hiram Cady? A few have him passing
away in Iowa, but I can't find any proof of that. Hial passed away in Iowa in 1891.
Hial then 25, is found for the first time on the census in 1835 living next to Jonathan
Cady's family in Troupsburg, he goes to WI and loses and son and grandson both named
John, buried in the same cemetery as Julius and Sally (Cady) Morey. Julius and Sally have
a son they named Hial Morey. Hial Cady and his wife Polly Warner have a son they named
Julius. In the WI 1860 census there is a Charles Cady living with Hial and his family with
his age being 23. I have only found one Charles (F) about that age and he is the son of
Hollis. In Troupsburg are Jonathan, Ransom, Hollis, Julius and Sally Morey, Laura Cady and
her husband Benjamite Potter!
. I recieved a note from the clerk in Troupsburg and she gives the birthdate of Sally and
Sarah as the same year. Could they be either twins or only one and the other name is a
nickname? The only person missing from Jonathan's family in Troupsburg 1835 Census is
Hiram Cady. I have found a Jonathan Cady in the 1810 Census, in Caledonia, Peacham, VT.
But it doesn't seem to fit the pattern of where he traveled at that time. I cannot
find him in NY or NH in that year. I hope someone has some ideas on where I might search
for more information to find the parents of Hial Cady. Thanks! Janet
