Does anyone
have any information on who to contact, where, etc.? [for Cady genealogy]
Jim had asked for volunteers when he started his update of the Cady
Geneaology to be put on CD. I did so, not realizing 1) I was the one and only
volunteer, and 2) that he was not going to be able to do any of the work. I got a
really good start on the thing and then stalled when I became ill myself, altho my
illness was of a short-term nature when compared to Jim's.
At this point, I do not know what will happen to the whole idea. Jim's heirs
might have something to say about it.
My current idea, if the Cady family turns the project over to me without
strings attached, is to burn the CDs with what I have completed to date. The CD
will be in PDF so that it can be read by any platform. There are over 700 pages
(8.5x11) completed except for corrections of typos. There are a few pages of
supplementary material not yet added in. Jim wanted an index as was in his
original book, but with the "Find" function available in today's programs,
this
seems a bit redundant, besides taking yet more time to complete. (a *lot* of
time)
So, altho not a "real" answer to your question, it is a reply of a sort.
