My apologies, I meant to put Samuel R. Cady in my subject line! I was
writting in response to a message from Peggie about a Samuel R. Cady.
Thanks again,
Janet

Subject: [CADY ] [Cady] Samuel P. Cady the son of Elijah Cady Jr.?
I am researching Cady, the Elijah Cady Sr. line. My great Grandfather Hial
Cady appears for the first time in the census in 1835 in Steuben County,
Troupsburg, NY. He is living next to Jonathan Cady. Also near are Ransom and
Hollis. Hial was born in 1810, and he states in all census records born in
VT. Elijah and Samuel, Peter, and Philip are all in Troupsburg, Steuben
County that year. Hial moved to WI in about 1846. While living there in 1860
census he has a Charles Cady living in his household. Charles is 23 years
old. I believe he is the son of Hollis Cady, grandson of Jonathan. Seems
like there must be a connection to this family but cannot find who the
parents are of Hial Cady. Anyone have any information on this family? Thanks
for any help!
Janet
