Mike,
Hi. I am also a Cady through my Revolutionary War grandparents. They were Dr.
Timothy and Elizabeth (Cady) Puffer. Elizabeth published her marriage
intentions to Timothy in Dalton, MA, though she was bn in Coventry, CT, and
they lived in Canterbury with families. However, your Lydia had published her
marriage intentions to Josiah Sabin on the same day. As a result of this for
a few years I thought that they were sisters, until I received Dr. Timothy's
2nd wife's will and found that the executor was seeking the family of a
Waterman Cady, as heirs. Then I knew my Elizabeth was a missing daughter of
Ebenezer and Prudence (Palmer) Cady. And I knew where three of their son's
names originated from (Ira John, David and Elias). She is not mentioned in
the Cady book though, probably because of her untimely death at the age of 43
in 1796.
Can you tell me your line down to Lydia? Mine is Nicholas, James, Sgt. John,
Ebenezer and Elizabeth.
Warm Regards,
June
