the never ending search continues.
seeking the ancestry of Sarah(Sally) Cady b. 1800/01 - Rhode Island -
probably Providence. m. May 1820 at Providence and was of Providence
according to the Providene Journal. She espoused Alexander McFarland b, abt
1796 at County Tyrone Northern Ireland. The couple were married at the
Beneficent Congregational Church by the Rev Mr Wilson.
David Cady and Roxalanah Hutchins were members of this church by 1820.
Sally and Alex had - Thomas,John E. and Sarah - and perhaos more children.
In the 1820's late or 1830' they removed to Ohio as Sally the daughter
states she was born in Ohio. Thomas d. at sea and his body was returned to
Providence - apparently he was a mariner. John E. looks like he resided in
Cranston but worked in providence.
During the 1840's looks like this family returned back to Providence. Sally
wife of Alex d. in 1849. She was buried in the Church Yard but the body was
re-interredinto the Locust Grove Cemetary.
Cadys i thought she might have been of - Shubail Cady and Anna Earle or
Zebulon Cady and Sally Freeman. two oddball connections to Zeb and Sally.
Sallys mother
was from Attleboro - Alex fater his wife dies removes to Attleboro. Sally
Freeeman on the maternal side is related to the Alexander family - their
gret grandchildern
marry into the Alexanders - as a matter of fact they attended the same
church in Providence. and of course the repetition of the name Sally - not
Sarah. conjecture at best.
The Cady gen offers little into either of the children of Zeb and Shubail -
both married at Providence prior to 1800. Shubail seems to have hung around
for awhile
but Zeb removes to Warwick and then finally dies at Ct. after 1820.
I dont think I will ever find the real story but i keep trying.
