Hello
I am researching a Cady Family who lived in Lee, Massachusetts, and I am
hoping someone here might have some more information.
The Parents of this Family were William and Jane Cady who originally
seemed to live in Suffolk Connecticut. The had several Children; listed
below. William died, or was not living with the family in 1850 Jane was
born around 1815
Clarissa Cady b. 1829
William Cady b. 1832
Ann Cady b 1833
Jennette Cady b. 1831
Martha Cady b. 1837
Henry Cady b 1839
George Cady 1843
I know Ann married John Dutcher around 1853. They had two children that
I know of:
Edward Dutcher b. 1854
William Dutcher b. 1856
John died in a boiler explosion in Lee in 1860. I found a few Newspaper
articles that tells how he suffered for two weeks until he died of his
burns. If anyone cares to read it I have it up on my website at:

After John died, Ann Cady remarried William Ketridge of Washington,
Mass. And they had a daughter in 1863. The Strange thing is that they
named the daughter Clara Dutcher.
Apparently Ann married again by 1870. In the census for that Year we
find a Orwin Tucker living in Lee with his wife Ann and a daughter,
Clara Dutcher.
Martha Cady married George Buckland on April 16, 1855
By 1870 Henry Cady had become a baker in Lee, living with his wife
Chastine and 5 month old Cora.
Jenette Cady married a painter named John W. Pinney in Lee on June 10,
1854. In 1860 they had two daughters Elisabeth born 1855 and Ellen born
1860
George Cady must have been inspired by his brother in law, because he
too became a painter.
If anyone has any information about these people or their descendants, I
would love to hear from you.
Sincerely
Ron Dutcher
