I have good copies of pictures of Daniel Cady and
Elizabeth (Raymond) Cady, and also of their daughter
Emily.
Now for my question. It is a serious, burning
question. It is my only real interest in the Cady's -
except for those who are descended from her.
Who were the parents of Elizabeth Raymond? Two
Raymonds, and only two, lived in Hinsdale; one is my
direct ancestor Amos, son of Daniel son of William and
Mercy Davis; and did not have children in the right
period for her to have been one of them; the other was
Amos son of William and Mercy Davis, who already had
children grown and married and grandchildren who could
have included Elizabeth. There is a son who continued
to live in the area but I do not kno wif he had any
children at all. Amos the son of William and Mercy
also had a sister named Betsy/ Elizabeth close to the
right age to have possibly been this Elizabeth
Raymond.
Yours,
Dora Smith
