Hi "J_Webb" -
I hope you're still active on the message boards. I was browsing the Cady board and
noticed your/this post that contained references to "Calvin Green Berry
Washington" and "William Parker" along with an "Adam Alonzo Cady"
- these names (or something close) are in my tree.
Could you tell me if the Calvin Green Berry Washington listed in your tree has the last
name of Parker or is from the Coffee (now Atkinson) County area? I have a "Calvin
Greenberry Washington Parker" in my tree, and I've been desperately trying to
find out any/all info on him. Best I can tell he had a brother named William and his
father was William. It also appears that several of his children married into the Cady
family. I've also discovered a small private graveyard/site with an "Alonza A
Cady" (date on marker Sept 11 1868; also has "husband of Mary and Sarah
A"). The old "Indians Rob Dr Parker's Home" story (contained in
Ward's History of Coffee County) also seems to be attached to this land where this
grave is located. I also believe that (Dr) CGBW Parker's first/second wife is also
buried here; there's a marker inscribed "Hanna M Parker, b. July 26 1824, d.
April 18 1871".
If any of this sounds familiar to you, I'd really appreciate any information you could
share.
Thanks...
