We don't have an exact date of death for Charles - he may have died in Camden, Oneida,
NY sometime around 1820. His widow, Jane Helmer Cady died April 26, 1833 and is buried
along with a couple of neices of her daughter-in-law's whose last names were Carley,
in the Eldred Cemetery, Hector, Schuyler, NY.
As I stated in my earlier comment - Charles' line from Nicholas ran from 2
grandchildren of Nicholas -- Ezekiel, son of Daniel 1 and Mary Green Cady, and Abigail,
daughter of James and Hannah Barron Cady -- they were first cousins.
Other children of Ezekiel and Abigail Cady Cady were: Jemima; Ezekiel,Jr; Nehimiah;
Hannah; Elizabeth; Jonas; Eunice; Hezekiah; and Abigail.
Children of Ezekiel, Jr and Abigail Stoddard Cady were: Susanna (m. John Shaddin); Charles
(m. Janatje [Jane]Helmer); Joanna; Deborah; Stoddard Brimfield (m. Abigail Marsh); David;
John and possibly a Richard. John removed to Canada and I have no further information
about David.
Children of Charles and Jane Helmer Cady were: David Studdert (m. 1 Margaritha Rickert,
m. 2 Maria Poge); Sarah Jane (m. Alexander Van Brocklin [Breuckelen]); Susannah Hannah (m
? Foscett); John W. (m. Maria Cosobina Livingston); Jane (m. Loren Edgerton); Phillip
Helmer (m. 1 Fanny Edgerton, m. 2 Mary Eber Rice [related to Ethan Allen]); Charles Jarvis
(m. Lucy D. Morton); Ezekiel (m. Adeline Carley); Delaney (m. William Carley, brother of
Adeline); Abigail (m. Anson Cook); Elizabeth/Betsey (m. Henry Armstrong); possibly the T.
Cady who appears in the 1856 Directory for Nevada City, Nevada Co., California, listed a
T. Cady, Lewis Evans, M.B. Rice and Benj. Smith, all working as miners at Brush Creek.
Children of Stoddard Brimfield and Abigail Marsh Cady: Susannah; Mercy; Perley; David (m.
Mary McMaster); Ezekiel; James; Charles Lewis (m. Sarah Unknown - they had a son Charles
Lewis, Jr. who started the pony express from San Francisco, CA to Sutter's Fort,CA,
served in the second rescue party of the Donner disaster, m. Hannah Payton, died in the
Oklahoma Territory in 1876); Sarah/Sally; Abigail.
This has been the extent of my research on the family of Charles -- there are further
children of children in my files, if anyone is seeking more info, but unless a spouse is
listed, there is probably no further info available.
