TROUPSBURG - Mary N. Cady, 51, of Cook Hollow Road, Troupsburg, died suddenly on Sunday
(Jan. 8, 2006) at Corning Hospital.
Born July 31, 1952, in Hornell, Mary was the daughter of Walter J. and E. Rowena Sherman
Cady. She had always made her home with her parents until their passing, and then resided
with her sister, Onolee, on the family farm. Mary had attended both the Troupsburg and
Jasper schools. She enjoyed television and videos at home, as well as the family cats. As
a young child, Mary had a pet parakeet who would ride on her shoulder as she played.
Surviving Mary are her sisters, Ellen Hogan of Corning, Waneta (Gary) Henninger of Painted
Post and Onolee Tillotson of Troupsburg. Also surviving are her uncle, Gordon Sherman of
Hornell; and special cousin, Margaret Klock of Maryland; as well as several nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by her mother, Rowena in 1990; her father, Walter in 1997; and her
brother, James in 1988.
Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home,
1607 Main St., Woodhull, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m., with Rev. Donald
Hulbert officiating. Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the Troupsburg Ambulance Association stretcher fund.

Troupsburg -- E. Rowena Cady, 75, 59 Cook Hollow Rd, died Wednesday, July 11, 1990 in her
home.
She was born Sept 21, 1914, in the town of Troupsburg to Walter and Mary E. McAllister
Sherman. She married Walter J. Cady March 28, 1935.
She was a graduate of Troupsburg High School, and attend the Troupsburg United
Methodist Church. She was a former employee of A. W. Lugg & Co., Knoxville, Pa.
Surviving are her husband; four daughters, Onolee Tillotson and Mary Cady, both of
Troupsburg; Ellen Hogan of Corning, Waneta Henninger of Painted Post RD 2; one brother,
Gordon Sherman of Hornell; two sisters, Iva Taft of Pine City,
Margaret Klock of Gaithersburg, MD; and five grandchildren, and three
great-grandchildren.
One son, James W., died in 1988.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-9pm today in the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home,
Woodhull. Services will be there 2 pm Saturday, the Rev. Dorr Harrington officiating.
Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery, Woodhull.
