Yes, your (Eleanor) Lydia Cady published her intentions to marry Josiah Sabin
in Dalton, Mass. They were married as far as I know, on November 24, 1779. At
this time my foremother, Elizabeth Cady also announced her intentions to
marry Timothy Puffer. My Elizabeth and Timothy were married on that date in
Shaftsbury, Bennington Co. Vt. Their marriage is recorded there. My Elizabeth
was the d/o Ebenezer and Prudence (Palmer) Cady. But she is not documented in
the Cady Genealogy book as one of their children. But, her husband's 2nd
wife's will mentions the children of a 'Waterman Cady' as heirs who could not
be located at the time of her death. The Waterman daughters ( of Asa and Ruth
(Beebe) Waterman) all married son;s of Ebenezer. Either this 'Waterman Cady'
is Ruth (Beebe) Cady, or maybe a son of David and Zilpha (Waterman) Cady,
whom Dr. Timothy and his 2nd wife, Mary helped to raise.
Warm Regards, June
