I'm trying to establish the Revolutionary War service for this Nathan Cady b 15 Oct
1717 at Pomfret, CT m Rachel Cady 20-21 Oct 1742 at Brooklyn, CT and d 17 Nov 1789 b
Brooklyn, CT.
The Nicholas Cady of Watertown MA book states that he enlisted 10 Jun 1777 and was
discharged 11 Dec 1777. Based on original source records I can find on
footnote.com
I'm starting to think that these dates relate to the service of a Nahum Cady who lived
in the same county.
Another personal data page I found comments on this Nathan that the women of Pomfret
equipped 81 soldiers that went to Bunker Hill in 1775. Nathan was among them and was on
"Washington's honor roll of volunteers." Does anyone know where such a list
would be viewable.
