Hi everyone,
Trust your summer was pleasant and your research great!
In response to the post asking about Cady families other than Nicholas', I
found this message in the Cady archives at Rootsweb, posted by Martha in
1999, which I am taking the liberty of forwarding. BTW, I have also found
Cadys from Ireland while doing U. S. census research and have to assume
they're from a completely different line.

Earlier, Suzanne and others were discussing whether there were Cady
progenitors other than Nicholas.
I checked my copy of Orrin Peer Allen's 1910 "Descendants of Nicholas
Cady of Watertown Mass) and found, in his introduction, several
references to other Cadys. Among them, James Cade, who settled in
Hingham, Mass in 1635 and later moved to Boston. (There's also a James
Cady who was one of Nicholas Cady's sons, so if you're researching that
line, it can be confusing.) Then there's a Thomas Cade of Sturgis, St.
Joseph County, Michigan, who was born in Yorkshire,England in 1786, so
obviously is not descended from Nicholas.
Hope this helps some of you. Also...I suppose all of you know that Cady
has, through the centuries, been spelled several other ways: Cade,
Caddie, Cadye, Caddy, and Kadye, to name those that Allen lists.
