I just picked up copies of Dr. James (Jim) W. Cady's Cady Genealogy published in 1991
by Gateway Press, and his Supplement to Cady Genealogy published in 1995 by Gateway Press.
I picked these up from Mrs. Cady at their home in Texarkana, TX. The Cady's address
is 4100 Pecos Street, Texarkana, TX 75503-2860. Their phone number is 903-791-6290. The
address for Gateway Press, Inc. is 1001 N. Calvert Street, Baltimore, MD 21202. FYI, Dr.
Cady has been ill, and is in a rehab facility, but Mrs. Cady was very helpful and a
pleasure to meet and talk with.
My great-grandmother was Nancy Ann Cady. She lived most of her adult live in Seagoville,
Texas (a surburb of Dallas). She died in Seagoville and is buried there in the Lee
Cemetery. I know little about her parents and siblings, but census records indicate that
she was born in Tennessee. I believe her parents were Richard and Elen Cady, and that her
grandparents were Peter and Jamina Cady; but I haven't been able to confirm that.
However, I am fairly certain that she had a brother named Robert E. Lee Cady born May 13,
1867 and died January 16, 1942. He is also buried in Lee Cemetery in Seagoville, Texas.
